Established in 1992, Chelmer Foods is an importer with a head office in Essex, an office in Turkiye and a warehouse/office based in Chatteris supplying Dried Fruits, Nuts, Pulses & Seeds to Foodservice, Manufacturing and Retail markets.

Stock Controller:


We have a very exciting opportunity for the right candidate.....

We are looking for an experienced individual to provide support to the business on stock issues and to drive improvements throughout the business and team.

Reporting to the Stock Manager, the goal is to work to a high standard and in an efficient manner as part of a team, to increase accuracy of stock, speed of reprocessing and to meet the businesses' expectations on lead times.

In this fast paced, demanding role you will build relationships not only within your team and wider colleagues, but also our third party logistic & packing providers to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction by always going that 'extra mile'.

This role will be based in our office in Chatteris Cambridgeshire, with additional travel to Braintree Essex required from time to time.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth.

Stock reconciliations

Landing stock on our ERP system

Transferring stock between stores where needed

Analysis of stock patterns and flagging to planning team of shortfalls

Working with the team to meet customer service targets consistently

Being involved in driving continuous improvements through our reprocessing operations at third parties whilst being a key contact for all internal and external stakeholders

Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities

Managing many incoming calls and emails

Skills Required:



Experience within the Stock Management, Logistics or Supply Chain environment.

Professional & confident telephone manner.

The ability to maintain calm under pressure.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to organise own workload to meet deadlines.

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 28,000.00 per year
