With over 35 years of successful trading, we operate four retail sites and a Central Distribution Centre, employing approximately 370 dedicated team members. We're currently seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals to join us at various levels within the business, at our newly refurbished store in Nechells.

? About the Role

This role is based at our Croydon store, where you'll play a vital part in managing stock movement. You'll be responsible for processing internal orders and inter-branch transfers through our warehouse management system, Korber. Precision is key, as you'll conduct regular cycle counts across both the warehouse and shop floor, investigating stock discrepancies promptly to support informed decision-making across store and warehouse teams.
This is a fast-paced environment, so we're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-focused, and quick to get to grips with our systems and product range. Flexibility is also essential, as shift adjustments and participation in out-of-hours stock counts may be required.

? Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Product Management:

Provide excellent customer service and help maintain a consistently high standard of customer experience. Ensure products in the warehouse and on the shop floor are: Fully stocked and replenished promptly. Rotated properly to reduce waste. Displayed according to company guidelines. Handled with care to minimize damage. Ensure all product pricing is clearly marked, compliant with legal standards, and up to date. Follow food safety guidelines for chilled and frozen products. Keep all work areas clean, tidy, and well-organized.

Stock Management & Control:

Accurately maintain stock records and investigate any inconsistencies. Identify and amend shortages, damages, or incorrect entries. Collaborate with relevant teams and store managers to resolve stock-related issues. Ensure all incoming stock is correctly labeled and stored in the right location. Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc physical inventory (PI) checks. Efficiently resolve internal and external stock queries. Organize collection and return of stock from off-site storage as needed.

Health, Safety & Team Support:

Follow all health and safety procedures and report any hazards or concerns immediately. Use all equipment safely and responsibly. Assist customers with inquiries and offer support across different departments. Comply with all food safety standards. Help with stock replenishment when required. Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by management.

Development:

Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal development and expanding business knowledge. Maintain and adhere to all stock control procedures to support inventory accuracy.
