Job Description

Designer Exchange is the UK's largest and leading recommerce company buying and selling preloved designer fashion and handbags since 2013.

Reporting to

: Store/General Manager

As a Stock Controller you will supervise the warehouse supplying products to the shop floor and/or other stores and monitor stock and inventory levels. You will guide the logistics side of things, monitoring shipping between the local warehouse and regional warehouses.

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, overseeing stock movement, conducting audits and optimising storage to ensure efficient operations within the back of house.

The ideal candidates will have stock management experience and a passion for fashion / luxury products.

Key Responsibilities:



Inventory Management

Tracking stock levels through daily stocktakes Reordering supplies as needed Conducting regular stock checks Ensure receipts, quantities, tagging along with non-movement tagging, deliveries of products, articles, and supplies in a timely manner

Stock Movement Oversight

Monitoring incoming and outgoing stock Ensuring accurate documentation of stock movement Complete stock transfers and all stock operations in a timely manner Organisation of stock in accordance with directives and procedures (style, size and colour)

Audit & Compliance

Conducting routine inventory audits Identifying, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Follow daily placement of items for sale, in line with articles available in stock Plan and undertake inventory operations, and be a stakeholder in monitoring loss-prevention and unknown mark-downs

Storage Optimization

Organising stock layout in terms of extra stock Implementing space-saving strategies Minimising risks of damage or loss

Team Collaboration:

Collaborating with stores and the studio Proving support and guidance to operations team Communicating effectively with management and other departments Communicate on a daily basis with operation management and propose remedial measures where necessary

Conduct & Standards

Reinforce adherence to company policies and procedures in all areas Adhere to the company's 'Code of Conduct' and ensure this is followed throughout and respect this way of working Foster a positive working environment of integrity and ethical behaviour Ensure the Store is clean and tidy in line with company policies and procedures, so that the Store meets the agreed company standards for open and closing times, appearance, housekeeping and product display

Working Conditions

The role will require working evenings, weekends and holidays as per the store operating hours and needs of the business
