About the role

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Accountable for all aspects of stock management - working with the following:
  • Suppliers and inbound teams to ensure stock is received on time to achieve sales volume targets and sufficient customer availability in a cost-effective way.
  • Buyers to agree stocks and sales forecasting at a sku level on a week by week basis. This will mean at times challenging the buying team on best solutions to mitigate risks (too much, too little stock, correct pricing etc) in order to maximise opportunities. Also to ensure we have a balanced range both online and physically on display in store
  • Delivery partners to ensure optimum stock holding at all times and fulfilling delivery promises for our customers.
  • Merchandise team to ensure we optimise store space dedicated to stock ranges at the appropriate times.
  • Accountable for the overall delivery of a dynamic stock plan linked to the upholstery strategy - KPI\xe2\x80\x99s will include sales volumes, stock holding, scheduling of intake to ensure continued commitment of agreed lead times.
  • Responsible for providing data to inform better buying decisions including regular reporting on key KPI\xe2\x80\x99s as part of commercial teams weekly reporting.
  • Responsible for working with the buying team and finance team to establish clear ways of working with roles and responsibilities clearly defined.
  • Responsible for clear communication of stock related information and stakeholder management across the business - including but not limited to marketing, retail, online (how the web looks).
Measure performance against following agreed KPIs - Stock forward weeks cover (based on forecasted rate of sale) and In stock availability measure * Work to agree stock management policy to determine agreed levels of forward cover and in stock availability to maximise sales balance with appropriate levels of stock investment

Work closely with Sales and Ops process / inbound and Sodelco / other service providers to plan space and resource requirements through the provision of a clear stock forecast and inbound plan. Working patterns
