Stratum Masonry is a leading stone contractor specialising in the conservation, restoration of historic and traditional buildings across Scotland. With a growing portfolio of high profile projects and a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship, we're expanding our team and looking for a skilled Stonemason Team Leader to join us.

The Role:

As a Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading a small team of masons onsite, ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety, and productivity are consistently achieved. You'll take pride in delivering quality work while managing the day to day site operations and communicating effectively with management and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise stonemasonry teams on restoration and conservation projects Carry out hands on masonry work including stone replacement, lime pointing, indenting, and dressing Ensure compliance with health and safety standards onsite Coordinate with management, suppliers, and clients as required Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional worksite Mentor apprentices and support skills development within the team

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a time-served stonemason (minimum 5 years preferred) Previous experience in a team leader, foreman, or supervisory role Strong understanding of traditional building techniques, materials, and conservation practices Ability to manage time, people, and resources effectively CSCS card required Full UK driving licence
