Stores Operative

Salary: 28,782.00 per annum 12.30 per hour

Hours: 45 hours per week.

Reports to: Yard Supervisor,

JOB PURPOSE

The Store Operative will be responsible for ensuring efficient job preparation, effective materials management, and the smooth running of the stores. This includes maintaining appropriate stock levels, recording all equipment when issued, and ensuring any faulty machinery is promptly reported and repaired. You will also be responsible for making deliveries to our sites when required. The role includes maintaining high health and safety standards within the yard and promptly reporting any breaches or concerns.

MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES

Stores Management:

Responsible to keep the store tidy and organised. liaise with the ops teams when returning equipment/tools in making sure damaged items are reported and fixed promptly' Liaise with the workshop for equipment repairs and servicing. Maintain and distribute necessary tools and equipment and record accurately with the day to day running of the stores. Report if Store stock levels are low to yard supervisor to meet demand.Promote team accountability for equipment care - liaise with the ops teams when returning equipment/tools in making sure damaged items are reported and fixed promptly' On request, you are to deliver products to sites as required by the Yard supervisor Ensure all site facilities remain in good working condition, supporting in necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.

Initial Objective:

Manage a well-organised tool store for operations on a commercial basis, ensuring efficiency and accountability.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Strong stock and system management skills. Proficiency in organising and maintaining tools, machinery, and workspaces. Ability to implement structured processes for equipment management. Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach Manual handling desirable

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in landscaping equipment

Full UK driving license with 7.5Tn license CSCS card
