, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and fit-out of new luxury showrooms as part of our nationwide (or international, if applicable) expansion. Working closely with internal project teams and external contractors, you will manage all contractual, commercial, and construction-related aspects of these projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to a premium standard reflective of our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee contracts for showroom construction and high-end fit-out projects aligned with our growth strategy.
Work collaboratively with internal project managers to define scopes, budgets, and delivery schedules.
Select, appoint, and manage external contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure efficient project execution.
Draft, negotiate, and administer construction contracts with a focus on risk mitigation and performance.
Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications, timelines, and quality expectations.
Ensure adherence to all relevant building regulations, codes, and health & safety standards.
Handle project variations, change orders, and contractor claims to maintain budgetary control.
Maintain clear documentation and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience in contracts or construction management, ideally within retail, fit-out, or high-spec commercial environments.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT) and contract negotiation.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and commercial insight.
Experience working with external contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
Proficient in interpreting architectural drawings and construction plans.
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or related disciplines are preferred.
