Job Description

Main Purpose and objectives of the role



Receiving and dispatching goods from the stores, storing goods received appropriately and initiating discrepancies in the delivery of goods. To facilitate set up time reduction, by maintaining, and managing kits for production of parts Ensure the constituent parts of the kit, are up to date, and in good working order

Main duties and responsibilities



Kitting



Using MRP and set up sheets to create and issue kits for works orders, in a timely manner, ahead of the production requirement Break down the kits after use, and ensure the parts being restocked and stored are functional, and protected. Replacing and escalating as required

Stores

Liaise with tooling reps to ensure the tooling and cutters are up to date and not superseded Requirements: Ensure stock levels and consignment stocks are within defined limits.
Reorder as necessary

Ensure fixtures and gauges remain protected, functional, and are calibrated Document and maintain records of all equipment and stock issued Monitor and escalate abnormal usage , whilst controlling the issuing of consumable stock

Despatch

Arranges shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating delivery requirements Verifies items shipped by matching Despatch documentation; reconciling quantities; noting discrepancies. Ensure all documentation is properly maintained, reviewed, collated and filed. Arranging packing/packaging and transportation method - in conjunction with the customer requirements Arrange shipments to Suppliers and ensure parts are adequately packed for transit

Goods Inwards

Accept and unload delivery vehicles as required Book in to MRP all goods received and ensure receiving items are correct to quantity and specification and ensure a bin location is allocated. Ensure all customer returns are properly segregated, labelled and included onto the NCR register Ensure all documentation is properly maintained, reviewed, collated and filed.

Inventory Management



Ensure all items are properly located and protected to ensure there are no transit damage from Stores to shop floor. Maintain effective stock control at all times Participate in annual stocktake and Perpetual Inventory or spot checking as directed Prepare materials for shop floor use

Health & Safety

Promote a safe working environment and ensure that H&S rules and regulations are adhered to and all matters relating to this are dealt quickly & effectively. Proactively identify risks. Ensure all PPE guidelines & policies within your area of responsibility are adhered to.

Deputising for Scheduling Administrator and Purchasing Administrator when on annual leave

Skills & Experience



Previous experience of working in an Engineering stores with duties of receiving and despatching components, correctly entering data onto a computer, locating in stores, and issuing parts to production. Manufacturing Aerospace experience preferable Be able to work unsupervised and meet set deadlines Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multitask Driving of a Fork Lift and Company Van desirable Computer literate Able to establish strong working relationships with all departments within the business. Effective knowledge of MRP production control principles. Good organisational skills Strong attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 24,420.00-38,321.64 per year
