We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Stores operative
to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth inventory management and maintaining high-quality standards and accuracy across all incoming and outgoing goods.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and correctly set up and store incoming materials and components.
Maintain accurate stock records and ensure inventory levels are managed effectively, to include stock checking and item management within stock storage machine.
Conduct quality checks on goods to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
Report and document any discrepancies or quality issues promptly, using engineering drawings to confirm parts are accurate.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within stores and goods in processes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Support Kitter in issuing of items to production where required.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in stores, warehouse, or quality control environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
Good IT skills (experience with inventory systems is an advantage).
Ability to work independently under own initiative and as part of a wider team.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
Experience with Electronic parts storage systems (Kardex) highly desirable
