, working from our purpose-built refurbishment centre to extend the lifespan of technology and reduce our environmental impact.
What were looking for...
The
Stores Assistant
role assists in the daily store operations, ensuring effective stock management, inventory control and maintaining a clean and organised environment. The role involves receiving deliveries, booking in parts, and liaising with service teams to ensure parts are issued in a timely manner to our field engineers.
What youll be doing...
Inventory Management:
Receive and inspect incoming stock and supplies for quality and quantity.
Update inventory records using appropriate systems and software.
Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to ensure accuracy.
Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels and reorder points.
Ensure that the Workshop is always clean and tidy, and that waste packaging is removed and disposed of safely and in line with health and safety guidance
Stock Handling:
Unpack, label, and store goods in designated locations.
Organize and arrange items for easy retrieval and efficient space utilization.
Prepare and pack orders for dispatch including online booking on the parcel carrier website.
Cross check to confirm the delivery has been completed successfully.
Handle and move products safely and efficiently, using appropriate equipment if necessary.
Unload stock using the relevant equipment (forklift licence desirable, if not training provided)
Order Fulfilment:
Process and fulfil customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure all orders are properly packed and labelled for shipping or delivery.
Coordinate with delivery personnel or couriers for timely dispatch of goods.
Load purchase orders onto various systems for stock replenishment.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of stock movements, receipts, and dispatches.
Prepare and generate inventory reports, discrepancy reports, and other required documentation.
Assist in the preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports for management review.
Customer Service:
Provide assistance to customers or colleagues in locating and retrieving specific items.
Address and resolve customer queries and concerns related to stock availability and delivery times.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering prompt and courteous service.
Housekeeping and Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized store or warehouse environment.
Follow health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with company policies.
Report any equipment malfunctions, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in training new staff or temporary workers as required.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
