Brief Description

We have a rare opportunity available to support our Logistics Team, managing the day to day running of our stores.

If you are returning to the workplace after a break or just like the idea of flexibility in your working hours, hold a driving licence and have an aptitude for administration and keeping things organised and tidy, this will be ideal for you.

There will be some lifting and carrying involved, so a level of personal fitness is required however, being part of a team help is always on hand.

Control and coordinate the procurement, storage, control, issue/return and recycling of plant, tools, equipment and materials in an efficient manner for the Infrastructure Maintenance group.

About the role (External)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Carry out work safely and in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures, method statements or other instructions.

2. Adhere to company policies and procedures.

3. Coordinate the procurement, processing, receiving, issue, return and recycling of all plant, materials and equipment required by the Infrastructure Maintenance group.

4. Monitor and undertake replenishment of stock levels (including vehicle based items) in all stock holding locations to provide the required equipment/materials, whilst maintaining efficient stock and cost controls.

5. Check that plant, tools, equipment and materials are fit for use and are stored and disposed of correctly.

6. Provide quarantine area/facilities for stock, materials, small plant, tools and equipment that are not fit for purpose and arrange replacement.

7. Maintain safe and tidy store/stock locations.

8. Produce and maintain stock, material, plant, tools and equipment records as required.

9. Contribute to your own development and that of others.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

1. Able to work as part of team.

2. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

3. Hold and retain the competencies relevant to this post, required by business need.

4. Ideally hold (or be working towards) an NVQ level 1 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.

5. Able and willing to drive vehicles as required by business need.
