Job Description

Purpose of the Role

The aim of this position is to keep clean, organised, stocked, and a well-managed store, Manage PAT Testing process and to manage the Company's fleet of vehicles. To ensure the interior and exterior of the company premises is always well maintained and presentable.

This position reports to the Procurement Manager

Working relationships

All employees' Management and site personnel, suppliers, and delivery companies

Manage stores stock and equipment - Maintaining an accurate stock record with goods in and out, completing monthly checks and an external annual audited check.

Report to the finance team a weekly stock usage report to charge clients.

Manage Company vehicle fleet, arrange Van services, MOT arrangements, windscreen replacements, manage weekly vehicle checklists, repair arrangements, weight issues, van audits and handovers where possible.

Maintain a High-Value Asset Register (van stock management)

Repair and Maintain power tools and equipment, utilise local repair shop for anything that cannot be repaired in house.

PAT Testing -office and van equipment

Plan and schedule maintenance of all company premises and grounds.

Site visits and/or deliveries/collections

Return and off-hire any plant/tools to suppliers.

Prepare and arrange courier deliveries to site.

Management and weekly preparation of in-stock materials and tools for site staff collection

Manage skip requirements for both office & stores.

Drink provisions for the building - Wholesalers.

Fortnightly Fire Alarm testing and office Fire Marshall

Qualifications and Experience

Must have good all-round initiative.

Ability to manage and utilise allocated labour.

Knowledge of Construction Industry and terminology

Full Drivers Licence

Folk lift Licence

Good numeracy and literacy skills

Must be computer literate to a minimum level of Intermediate.

Good communication skills (verbal & written)

Well organised and attention to detail

Ability to work unsupervised.

Ability to lift & move plant & materials (moderate)

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

Experience of working in a construction store or warehouse.

Previous experience of working in an environment where Health and Safety are paramount.

PAT Testing (training will be provided)

Keen to learn and develop self.
