As our new Stores Operator, you'll help manage materials, move products around site, and ensure stock counts stay accurate. Working closely with colleagues across departments, you'll keep the stores area safe, tidy, and efficient - playing a key part in delivering excellent service to our internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities:
Carry out all work in full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and procedures.
Proactively identify and report unsafe acts or conditions using the Near Miss System.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping in your work area.
Complete tasks only once fully trained and deemed competent, understanding associated hazards and controls.
Notify your Unit Leader/Supervisor/Manager promptly of any safety, health, or environmental issues.
Carry out all tasks related to stores operations, including:
Moving materials around site (weights up to 20kg)
Cycle counting and stock checks
General housekeeping
Updating and maintaining the MRP system
Support a strong safety, quality, and service culture within the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
Ability to lift and carry weights up to 20kg
IT literacy and basic numeracy
Standard Grade education (or equivalent)
Full driving licence
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong teamwork skills
Drive and enthusiasm
Desirable:
Forklift Truck certification
Experience working in a stores or warehouse environment
