Job Role
Inertia Consulting are seeking to expand our Operations Team by recruiting a Stores Person (Equipment, Tools, and Vehicle Maintenance) to support ongoing growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and organisation of our equipment, tools, and vehicles, working under the supervision of the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Advisor. The role involves inventory control, maintenance scheduling, record keeping, and ensuring the availability and serviceability of all operational assets. This position is based at our Head Office in Derby, with occasional travel to other operational sites as required.
You will work closely with the SHEQ Advisor to develop and implement effective stores management processes, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality standards, whilst contributing to the smooth running of our operational activities.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate good organisational and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining our operational readiness. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, able to prioritise tasks in a busy environment, and motivated to contribute to the overall efficiency of our projects.
Role Requirements
You will need to:
Have knowledge of tools, equipment, and vehicle maintenance principles and practices
Understand basic inventory management and control processes
Be able to work outdoors and in varied site environments when required
Be comfortable conducting inspections and basic maintenance tasks
Possess good attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Have basic computer skills for inventory and maintenance record management
Hold a full UK car driving licence
