The Role:
King Highway Products is seeking a proactive and reliable Stores Person to manage the day-to-day operation of the stores area. The role involves receiving and inspecting deliveries, accurately organising and issuing stock to production and service teams, maintaining stock records, and ensuring the stores area remains clean, safe, and well-ordered. You'll play a key part in supporting production schedules and service operations by keeping parts and materials flowing efficiently through the business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality
Organise and maintain stock locations within the stores area
Perform regular stock checks and assist with stocktakes
Pick and issue parts for production, service engineers, and customer orders
Keep accurate records using the company's stock control system
Book items into stock and update stock movements
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised stores environment
Assist with goods returns and liaise with suppliers as needed
Operate forklift trucks and lifting equipment
Support the Parts Manager and wider team with day-to-day tasks
Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed in the stores area
Experience, Qualifications and Skills required:
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or logistics environment
Valid forklift licence (essential)
Experience using an electronic parts/ workshop system
Basic computer literacy (e.g., logging deliveries in stock system)
Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills when working collaboratively with colleagues.
Positive 'can do' attitude.
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
