Scope of the Role
The Store Person will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing and operational functions of the business by efficiently managing inventory and maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Receive incoming goods, checking against delivery notes and passing to QA team for booking in.
Accurately pick and pack components or products for internal departments or customer orders, through raising and closing of MFC works orders.
Ensure proper storage of goods, maintaining organisation and accessibility
Conduct regular stock counts and update inventory records accordingly
Monitor stock levels and notify relevant departments of low stock or discrepancies
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store and warehouse area
Operate forklift trucks and other material-handling equipment safely (if trained and licensed)
Liaise with suppliers and couriers regarding deliveries and collections
Work alongside logistics team ensuring timely, professional and accurate despatch.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate inventory and stock control records using internal systems (e.g. ERP or inventory software)
Complete delivery notes, stock transfer forms, and other relevant documentation
Update logs and spreadsheets to track incoming and outgoing goods
Assist in preparing documentation for audits or stock reviews
Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to ensure stock availability aligns with production schedules
Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards in all administrative tasks
Skills and Experience
Essential:
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics role
Good working knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse procedures
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, stock control software)
Strong organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
Good communication skills
Desirable:
Forklift licence (Counterbalance)
Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment
Familiarity with ISO standards and quality procedures
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting
Working Conditions
Full-time, permanent position
Monday to Friday working pattern (occasional overtime may be required)
Warehouse environment - some lifting, standing, and manual handling involved
On-site parking
