We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented

Stores Technician

to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the daily operation of the Stores, ensuring efficient control, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.


The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of 14.98 per hour + holiday pay

Key Duties:

Control and issue items from the main stores, including acids, solvents, and equipment Accept and process deliveries, ensuring paperwork is complete and checks are carried out Maintain accurate records on the Oracle R12 system and ensure goods are properly handled and logged Notify and deliver items to requesters promptly once recorded Ensure safe storage of gas cylinders, solvents, and other specialised materials in compliance with COSHH and safety regulations Support the Logistics and Waste Solvent Specialists in managing waste solvents safely Process returns efficiently, ensuring correct documentation is submitted and retained Monitor stock levels and notify the Inventory Manager of low or missing items Maintain health and safety standards within the Stores at all times Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly and professionally to queries Contribute to improving and streamlining Stores processes Assist in providing remote stores support as required

Selection Criteria:

Literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to GCSE level in Maths and English Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email systems Organised and methodical approach to work Ability to use initiative and manage workload effectively in a busy environment
