The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stores Technician to join our dynamic operations team in Stockport. You will play a key role in managing inventory, supporting production, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the facility.
Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and store incoming materials and components.
Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems.
Pick and issue materials to production in a timely manner.
Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts.
Ensure the stores area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Liaise with procurement, production, and quality teams to resolve stock discrepancies.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the stores function.
What We're Looking ForPrevious experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics role (manufacturing environment preferred).
Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
