About The Role
Job Purpose
CDE is now seeking to appoint a Stores Team Lead to join the team, to effectively lead a small time to ensure all material and parts are controlled and managed in an organised and efficient manner within the stores area.
Responsibilities
Adhere to and champion company safety policies and procedures, at all times
Stock management - ensure stock is put away in applicable section of stores
Oversee the Goods-In Department and ensure on time receipt of material to goods in and off-site deliveries
Liaise with Purchasing to ensure close out of Purchase orders
Drive 5s standards for work area and identify and implement improvements.
Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
Stock counting - assist with the routine physical stock count and check stock levels on Request.
Lead a small team of stores operatives and manage their absences to ensure coverage to perform all required tasks.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Support process improvements.
Check that all stock items are clearly labelled with CDE part numbers and descriptions reflecting the information captured within IFS.
Liaise with other supply chain functions to mitigate the impact of actual or potential delays.
Attend daily factory board meetings.
Lead the store's operatives in all daily activities.
Plan and prep inter-site deliveries
Ensure all goods are booked in by the end of the day
Dealing with all returns to the stores
Conduct root cause analysis of challenges identified utilising the CDE NCR system.
Apply the minimum quality and environmental standards required under ISO 9001 and 14001 and the company's Quality and Environmental standards
Oversee work centre capacities on a regular basis and inform the Supervisor of any utilisation concerns.
Manage any issues or delays, ensuring potential interruptions are identified and communicated as soon as possible, utilising the CDE NCR system where necessary.

To carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role.

Required Criteria
+ 5 GCSEs grade C or above including English and Maths
+ Minimum 3 years related experience
+ Proficient use of all Microsoft packages
+ Well organised
+ The ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally, and through presentations
+ Ability to work unsupervised and plan own workload
+ Dependable and reliable
+ Enthusiastic, energetic self-starter able to work on own initiative
+ Able to travel between Facilities
Desired Criteria
+ Experience of working with a modern ERP system (IFS)
