As a commercially minded, digitally fluent Strategic Marketing Manager, you will lead the marketing agenda for our business. This role is pivotal in driving customer engagement, lead generation, and profitable revenue growth through a strategic partnership with a marketing agency that offers strong digital capabilities and omni-channel execution.
Reporting to the Group CCO, you will be leading on the needs of the central business as well as each of the Business Units, and will be the linchpin of the team's success.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for delivering and iterating a multi-year marketing strategy that leverages CRM insights, customer journey mapping, GDPR compliant data and targeted customer personas. Working closely with sales, finance, and the divisional marketing teams, you will guarantee all marketing activity is aligned with BES Group's brands and commercial objectives, ensuring all is in line with the annual strategy agreed with our strategic partner agency.
Your role will involve: Strategic Agency Partnership

  • Acting as the primary liaison between BES Group and the appointed strategic marketing agency
  • Defining clear objectives, KPIs, and deliverables for the agency across digital, content, and campaign execution
  • Holding the agency accountable for performance, innovation, and ROI across all marketing activities
  • Managing the annual budget
Campaign Strategy & Execution
  • Leading the development of omni-channel marketing campaigns (email, social, digital advertising, SMS, web) in collaboration with the agency
  • Ensuring campaigns are insight-driven, leveraging CRM data and customer segmentation to maximise relevance, impact and cross-sell strategies
  • Partnering with the Marketing Managers of the Business Units and overseeing creative direction and messaging, ensuring consistency with brand standards and divisional goals.
  • Managing Freelancers as needed by BU/Projects
Digital & CRM Activation
  • Driving the use of CRM data to personalise customer experiences across all digital touchpoints through the newly development MAP tool
  • Collaborating with the agency and central marketing team to implement dynamic content, retargeting strategies, and automated nurture journeys
  • Supporting sales enablement through CRM-driven insights and content triggers
  • Delivering marketing and commercial improvements through the utilisation of AI
Performance & Optimisation
  • Monitoring campaign performance across all channels, using data to inform continuous improvement
  • Leading A/B testing initiatives and conversion optimisation strategies
  • Providing regular performance reports and actionable insights to stakeholders
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Working cross-functionally with sales, operations, and the Group CCO to align marketing efforts with commercial priorities
  • Managing internal marketing support functions including lead generation, CRM hygiene, and renewals
  • Championing a data-driven, customer-centric and omni-channel marketing culture within the division
  • Leading the production of the annual ESG report
  • Owning all decision making and final approval processes and ensuring the collateral needs of the Business Units are delivered on time and on brief

To join our team, you will need:
  • Significant experience in strategic marketing roles, ideally within B2B or industrial sectors
  • Proven success in managing marketing agencies and delivering digital campaigns
  • Deep understanding of CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics)
  • Experience in omni-channel campaign planning and execution
  • Demonstrable use of data in driving a modern marketing model
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in CRM and marketing automation tools
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
  • Creative mindset with a focus on innovation and customer experience
  • Proven ability to build a MAP and utilise data to enable retention and cross-selling through a data model and digital journeys with defined pieces of collateral
  • Proven ability in managing and holding a Marketing agency to account against defined inputs and outputs
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in digital, strategic marketing and AI
Ideally, you will also have:
  • A degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (desirable)
  • Relevant certifications in CRM or digital marketing (desirable)
