To manage the organisation's forecast and inventory planning based on product demand, inventory levels , supply lead times and product life cycle. To lead a small team focused on the management and execution of optimal inventory levels for all SPS UK locations, saleable and non-saleable products, operational planning and inventory processes and governance, supply chain analytics, MRP parameters and data integrity. To model and provide strategic forecasting, long-range rough-cut capacity planning, inventory analysis and risk mitigation. This role is highly collaborative, working across functional teams including programmes, production planning, commercial, supply chain and operations.

Responsibilities:



Develop and implement robust, repeatable approaches and methods to enable product level forecasting, demand profiling, inventory burn reporting, portfolio analysis and longer-range capacity modelling. Develop strategies and analytics for the optimization of marketable inventory and reduction in non-marketable inventory (Excess and Obsolescence), facilitating weekly analysis, reconciliation, cross functional reviews and mitigating actions. Inclusive of impact of back orders, arrears, slow moving stock, stock turn, safety stock/time, MRB, WIP and finished goods. Lead business level inventory and working capital reduction program ensuring actions are completed to milestone plan and benefits captured. Develop, implement business level Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning and Production rate readiness solutions. Develop and implement business planning cycles aligned to tactical order book management. Work closely with production control, program and commercial teams to collect market intelligence inputs, outsource and NPI projections, to create longer range plans and strategies. Develop and implement in conjunction with the Production Control Manager, standardized planning and inventory regimens, policies, processes and governance and ensure regular compliance audit through visual management and process control boards. Act as the lead expert on requirements across all facets of MRP related functionality, utilization and data integrity. Develop models and tools for identification of demand variances and improvements to forecast accuracy, stability and bias, liaising with programs to present to customers. Lead root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improving forecast and inventory utilization supporting operational production control team to establish best practice. Create robust training matrix and training modules and deploy within all areas that impact inventory optimization and forecast accuracy. Co-ordinate and facilitate collaborative working between key departments such as procurement, programs, engineering, production control, quality and operations. Build a high performing culture and team and ensure training matrix is developed, implemented and maintained within the team. Ensures team operates within the required heal and safety legislation and business code of conduct.

Qualifications, Skills, Attributes, and Experience Required:



Has 3-5 years' experience in supply, demand and inventory planning within a manufacturing environment operating with ISO9001 and 14001 standards. Excellent analytical skills - Excel intermediatory level as minimum. Detailed knowledge of MRP manufacturing, master production scheduling, inventory set up, work centre, routing and BoM structures. Can act under pressure and is decisive. PowerPoint and Word literate being able to produce a wide range of analysis, graphs, and reports for communication at all levels. Has a collaborative approach to cross functional team working. Has relevant degree, APICs, or similar planning or supply chain related qualification. Is highly numerate and has impeccable attention to detail. Proactive, can-do attitude. Has the ability to drive change and challenge the status quo.

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
