37 hours per week, two-year fixed term contract



45,091 - 49,282 per annum




Wychavon District Council is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Project Manager to lead one of the West Midlands' most significant developments, Worcestershire Parkway.


This is a pivotal role within our Development Planning Team, where you will drive the development, management and coordination of the delivery programme for the Worcestershire Parkway strategic allocation. This major project represents a transformative opportunity for the region, bringing forward new infrastructure, housing, employment space and environmental enhancements.


The role involves managing the full project lifecycle, including governance, programme management, risk, budget, procurement, and reporting. You will prepare and oversee project plans, business cases, funding applications, and developer contributions (e.g. S106, CIL, HIF), as well as commission and review technical studies, masterplans, and assessments to support planning policy and sustainable design objectives.


Great communication skills along with the ability to work collaboratively with developers, infrastructure providers, landowners, councils, and government agencies are therefore essential to help coordinate the delivery of housing, employment, transport, and green infrastructure and provide strategic advice and reports to senior officers and members.

About you




The successful candidate will:

Have a degree in Project Management, Construction, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or a related discipline. Previous professional project management experience along with extensive experience delivering large-scale development-related projects Strong commercial, contractual, and financial acumen Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills The ability to manage workload, prioritise and work under pressure A commitment to efficient and quality service delivery
