professional and proactive Strategic Support Manager
to provide high-level directorate support and lead on strategic activities, with a strong focus on
service transformation
for our upcoming
1.4bn, 20-year contract
.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting and enabling the senior management team and wider Directorate to deliver excellent, innovative services through consolidated reporting, activity coordination, and being the central contact point for both internal and external service requirements and improvements.
What you'll do:
Lead and coordinate directorate support functions to ensure smooth operations and drive service transformation initiatives.
Support and, where appropriate, lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of strategic initiatives and operational processes.
Act as the Directorate's Data Protection Champion, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
Oversee the production and analysis of performance data, including KPIs, dashboards, financial tracking, and quality assurance metrics.
Coordinate and facilitate strategic meetings, including scheduling, agenda setting, and minute-taking.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders at all levels.
Lead design activities for long-term agreements, including specifications, process maps, contract documents, and lotting strategies.
Support contract negotiation, appointment, mobilisation, and management, ensuring value for money and adherence to procurement procedures.
Embed resident involvement at every stage of the procurement and post-award process, ensuring feedback informs decision-making and drives service improvement.
Monitor and report on market trends and sector developments to inform strategic decision making and identify opportunities for efficiencies and innovation.
The role is based in our office at
Farringdon
and offers hybrid working arrangements of 2 days per week in the office and 3 days - work from home. This is a
Fixed Term Contract
role until
31 January 2027
to provide maternity cover. The current postholder will provide a comprehensive 4 - 6 weeks handover prior to departure, ensuring continuity and support during the transition.
What you'll need:
HND level qualified or minimum 5 years' equivalent experience working within a property/construction related environment, specifically within occupied residential properties.
Prince2 or Agile qualification, or suitable project/programme management experience.
Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel, Visio, MS Forms, and communication systems.
Excellent analytical, project coordination, and reporting skills.
Proven experience in strategic planning, service transformation, and stakeholder management.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and influence at all levels.
Solution-focused, innovative, and committed to continuous improvement.
