The work of the strategy, research, innovation & improvement directorate primarily focuses on the delivery of the third strategic goal - 'to build learning, improvement and innovation into everything we do'. The directorate includes sub-functions of improvement, innovation, strategy & partnerships [to which this role directly relates], sustainability, population health & equity and life sciences. Each of these sub-functions lead on the development & delivery of key strategic programmes through practical implementation and use of improvement method, capability building and development of partnerships across the specific subject areas which have been increasingly prioritised in the national context.
We are seeking a dynamic Strategy, Partnerships & Innovation Programme Manager to support our Executive Director, Prof Bob Klaber, in delivering our ambitious objectives. This role is pivotal in coordinating and implementing our organisational strategy, fostering innovation, and managing key partnerships.

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and tracking the refinement and implementation of our organisational strategy, leading on strategic review processes and priority setting, and supporting the development of other internal strategies.
We are looking for someone to lead the development of the Trust's approach to innovation. This will include providing strategic support to Paddington Life Science Partners, a new life sciences cluster centred around St Mary's Hospital, and playing an active role in the Trust's Commercial & Innovation work, identifying opportunities for collaboration and commercial and strategic partnerships which support our ambitions to be innovation and research-led.
Managing key strategic partnerships for the Trust, including our partnership with Chelsea FC Foundation and Imperial Health Charity, as well as with local authorities, will be a key aspect of this role. Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the Director in the leadership of the strategy development work will be essential.
