Position Summary
The Manager, Strategy & Planning - F&B Operations leads project coordination for all current and upcoming initiatives while managing communication platforms internally and externally. This role delivers high-profile projects across the continent, including developing project plans, managing cross-functional teams, identifying and resolving risks, tracking project funds, and providing updates to program teams and continent leadership.
The Manager also participates in the annual initiative prioritization process, helps define business impacts for strategic projects, and reports progress to the Discipline Lead and wider program team. In addition, the role supports continuous improvement of Planning & Transformation services through enhancements to processes, tools, and templates.

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
Lead continent-wide integration projects and deliver expected benefits.
Develop and manage project plans, risk logs, and related tools.
Ensure timely completion of project tasks and proactively manage risks.
Produce high-quality presentations, reports, and deliverables.
Partner with Change Managers on stakeholder engagement.
Troubleshoot issues and ensure leadership transparency for decision-making.
Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity of responsibilities.
Tracking and Measurement
Monitor project progress, capture lessons learned, and apply improvements.
Prepare concise updates and reports for stakeholders.
Consulting and Coordination
Identify issues, propose recommendations, and support implementation.
Build strong relationships with discipline and program leadership to ensure project outcomes.
Strategic Project Leadership
Drive global F&B efforts in EMEA in partnership with Global Operations.
Align stakeholders and influence project direction.
Provide processes, communication tools, and templates to drive accountability.
Support change management planning and communications.
Execute project governance processes including issue escalation and prioritization.
Deliver high-quality outputs for the Leadership Team.
Support to VP F&B EMEA
Manage statistical reporting, online tool design, and uploads.
Produce team correspondence, presentations, and reports.
Compose and sign routine correspondence as authorized.
Maintain filing systems (digital and paper-based).
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, minutes, and conference calls.
Support training coordination and materials.
Act as a central contact point between EMEA Offices and Hotels.
Candidate Profile
Required Experience
Strong background in strategy and planning, preferably within hospitality.
Knowledge of Marriott International brands and strategies.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with owners, hotels, and colleagues.
Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
Prior experience in strategy & planning duties essential.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
Strong relationship management skills with customers and stakeholders.
Ability to design and implement effective tracking tools.
Knowledge of Marriott lodging products, cultures, and brand strategies.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Skilled in technical tools and programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong PowerPoint and InDesign skills for stakeholder presentations.
Proactive, innovative, and reliable.
Strong confidentiality, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Professional Certification
Excellent level of English (verbal and written).
Minimum GCSE level or equivalent.
