The Street Lighting team at NY Highways maintain over 52,000 street lights and 8,000 signs and bollards across the region. What You'll Be Doing
Installing and maintaining street lighting and street furniture
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
Locating and fixing underground cable faults
Ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
Collaborating with a dedicated team across North Yorkshire

What We're Looking For
We're seeking candidates who bring technical expertise, a flexible mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ideally, you'll have:
BS7671/18th Edition qualification
City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 and 714 Inspection & Testing
Strong knowledge of electrical repairs, testing, and installations
Understanding of current legislation and health & safety standards
Full UK Driving Licence
Willingness to take part in out-of-hours emergency callouts (rota basis)
