Strength & Conditioning Coach (academy & Elite Sport Setting)

Job Description

Recovery Inc. is recruiting a highly capable Strength & Conditioning Coach to support academy athletes aged 16+ across multiple sports, including football, rugby, and performance programmes. You will design and deliver progressive physical development sessions, performance testing, and return-to-play conditioning in a professional academy environment.

This role also includes the opportunity to work with private and commercial clients within our clinic and performance space, offering additional revenue opportunities and the chance to build a personal client base under the Recovery Inc. brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver strength, speed, conditioning, and movement-based training programmes Conduct physical testing, screening, and athlete monitoring Develop return-to-play conditioning programmes in collaboration with medical staff Deliver group sessions and 1-to-1 athlete development plans Educate athletes on physical preparation, recovery, and injury prevention Maintain accurate performance records and athlete monitoring data Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, coaches, and academy leadership teams Contribute to the growth of performance projects and private coaching provision
Essential Requirements:

UKSCA Accredited S&C Coach OR working actively towards accreditation Degree in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, or related field Experience working with academy, elite, or high-performance athletes Strong understanding of LTAD and physical development models Knowledge of return-to-play conditioning and post-injury progression
Desirable Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in academy football, rugby, or multi-sport performance environments Experience using performance technology (GPS, force plates, testing equipment) Ability to lead group-based and individual training programmes Strong communication skills when working with youth athletes and performance staff Experience integrating into a multidisciplinary team (medical, coaching, S&C)
