Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in structural design principles and be proficient in various design software. This role involves collaborating with engineers and project managers to develop innovative structural solutions for a variety of construction projects. The Structural Designer will play a crucial role in ensuring that designs meet both client specifications and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities



Develop detailed structural designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation to create accurate drawings and models. Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of design projects while adhering to budget constraints. Utilise Mathcad for calculations and analysis to support design decisions. Engage in system design for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Conduct site visits as necessary to gather information and assess project requirements. Prepare technical documentation, including reports and specifications, for project submissions. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss project progress and address any concerns. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in structural design.

Qualifications



At least 8+ years of UK industry experience is mandatory, with at least 3+ years in the education sector. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and other CAD software is essential. Strong understanding of construction principles and practices is required. Experience in project management is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent mathematical skills for performing complex calculations related to structural design. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities. Relevant degree or qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering (CEng status preffered) or a related field. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 30,533.88-41,038.92 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
