Job Title: Structural Welder/Fabricator

Location: Batley, West Yorkshire

Salary: Up to 16.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

Working Hours:

- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

- Friday: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Batley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fabricator to work on a range of steel structures within a well-established and supportive company, offering consistent working hours and attractive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fabricate and weld structural steel components according to engineering drawings

- Perform MIG/MAG welding (primarily on mild steel) to a high standard

- Measure, mark out, cut, and prepare materials for assembly

- Operate various fabrication tools and machinery (saws, grinders, drills, etc.)

- Conduct quality inspections on welds to ensure compliance with project specifications

- Work both independently and collaboratively to meet production targets

- Adhere to health and safety guidelines while maintaining a clean and safe workspace

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a structural welder/fabricator

- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings

- Proficient in MIG welding (additional welding skills are advantageous)

- Skilled in using hand tools and fabrication machinery

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality standards

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision

- NVQ or equivalent qualification in fabrication/welding is preferred but not essential
