About the Role: We are looking to hire a highly responsible and proactive Structural Works Site Supervisor / Working Site Manager with strong knowledge of construction, structural works, and load-bearing alterations. This is a hands-on role -- the right person must be willing to get involved on site, support the team practically when needed, and not just supervise from a distance. Driving is a strong advantage as sites and suppliers may be spread across different locations.
Key Responsibilities: Work hands-on on site when required -- "get your hands dirty" approach. Oversee and coordinate structural works and alterations. Assist with and supervise steel fixing, RSJ installations, temporary supports and propping, and load-bearing openings. Read and interpret structural drawings, plans and details, and engineer specifications. Organise trades and labour on site. Give clear direction and instructions to the team. Ensure work sequencing is safe and correct. Identify issues on site and solve problems quickly. Liaise with structural engineers and building control when required. Maintain a safe, tidy and professional working environment. Take responsibility for work quality and site safety.
Essential Skills & Experience: Strong knowledge of structural works and construction. Experience with load-bearing alterations and steel installations. Able to read plans, drawings and structural details. Practical, problem-solving mindset -- quick thinker. Confident giving direction and leading a team on site. Reliable, responsible and safety-focused. Comfortable working both hands-on and in a supervisory capacity.
Preferred / Advantageous: Full UK driving licence (driving is a major plus). Experience in residential refurb, extensions or structural openings. Previous site supervisor, working foreman or structural background.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 130.00-200.00 per day
