We're looking for someone to join the Wrapping Solutions Structuring team in Global Markets who:

Has a deep understanding of the various vehicles available to structure and execute off balance sheet transactions Can help the team to put in place the (internal and external) infrastructure to create a new UBS Synthetic Managed Account platform, including: Research, negotiate with, and appoint service providers; Work with internal teams on the operational set up (e.g. bookings, price feeds, reporting etc.); Work extensively with New Business and control functions to put in place the necessary internal approvals and gain external legal advice as necessary; Draft and review legal documentation Can lead initiatives to optimise UBS' use of RWA and implement strategies to optimise risk-weighted assets. Can liaise with Treasury teams internally and externally to structure transactions that would be accretive to the revenues of the Global Markets business Can assess the various economic, legal, regulatory, capital, tax and accounting considerations which underpin the product requirements of our clients. Can foster a strong relationship with a wide range of trading desks to develop strategic solutions which are manageable from both a risk and an operational perspective. Can work with sales colleagues to develop client pitches, with a particular focus on articulating / presenting complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Stays abreast of legal and regulatory changes, the bank's capital requirements, return hurdles, transaction types, and overall strategy Collaborates with other product specialists and stakeholders across Global Wealth Management, the Investment Bank and Asset Management in conjunction with external professional service providers

The Wrapping Solutions Structuring team within Global Markets is responsible for the pitching, design, execution, and management of product platforms that deliver a wide range of underlying exposures to a global client base. Our role is to offer alternative delivery mechanisms to traditional IB product wrappers such as swaps and certificates, for clients who want to hold payoffs through a fund or SPV wrapper

Your expertise

a degree in law, economics, finance, science, engineering or mathematics and several years of relevant work experience such as a structurer or lawyer experience in financial markets and derivatives legal experience or familiarity in drafting/preparing/reviewing legal documentation understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks and principles applicable to setup of funds and special purpose vehicles understanding of the capital resource framework within which banks operate - for example concepts such as RWA and leverage ratios ability to lead large deal teams with internal and external stakeholders in order to successfully drive transactions to completion resilience to overcome structuring challenges and strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop solutions a strong, principled work ethic, and a proactive, driven approach versatility is key as you will be required to work across a number of disciplines: product development, pricing, execution, pitching/marketing, automation, documentation drafting
