The Role





Are you ready to kick-start your career in engineering or take the next step as an experienced professional?





We're looking for motivated individuals with a passion for structural engineering and a drive to learn and innovate. This is your chance to work on complex, cutting-edge projects that make a real impact, while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from industry experts. You'll support the Royal Navy Submarine Fleet across Structures, Naval Architecture, Seamanship, Outfitting, and Design Change disciplines.





Day-to-day, you'll work on a wide range of projects involving submarine structures across the defence sector, with fantastic opportunities to learn and develop professionally. Your role will include:




Structural assessments using hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis Design and assessment for explosive shock survivability Technical investigations and feasibility studies Management and assessment of structural defects Structural safety certification and support to future platform projects




This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.




Essential experience of the Structures Engineer

Qualifications for the Structures Engineer



Degree qualified in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience).
