An exciting development opportunity has arisen for the successful candidate to join the busy Student Accommodation Office Team.
You will be required to provide an efficient and consistently high-quality service to all students, prospective students, and staff at all levels across Imperial.
What you would be doing
---------------------------
You will provide advice and guidance to undergraduate and postgraduate students with regards to all aspects of accommodation while studying at Imperial. This involves the room allocation into halls of residence and information and support on accommodation available in the private sector. Knowledge and understanding of Private Housing Legislation and Tenancy Agreements/Licenses is required and keeping up to date with changes and amendments is essential.
You will be required to take ownership of various services and specialist occupants who require additional support, such as medical and wellbeing and under 18's and in addition manage the summer accommodation requirements and the Rent Guarantee Scheme. Managing projects is key to the role, which will include planning events throughout the year to provide advice to prospective and current students on all aspects of accommodation and for those moving from Imperial accommodation into the private sector.
You will be the first point of contact and representative between specific Halls of Residence, Campuses, and Imperial departments. You will also assist with the ongoing development, marketing and promotion of the services, which will involve utilising all aspects of social media (e.g. Instagram, X [Twitter]. You will be key in identifying any potential weaknesses to service provision and contribute ideas to help to improve the service to enhance the student experience.
What we are looking for

A Level or equivalent or evidenced experience in a similar role, preferably in Higher or Further Education
Experience of working in a busy customer focused environment
A high level of literacy and the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely
A high degree of computer literacy, particularly detailed understanding and demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Knowledge of a bed management system, ideally Kinetics or similar providers
Excellent customer service skills, including sensitivity to the needs of customers
Excellent organisational and person-management skills and the ability to interact with people effectively and appropriately for the situation
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and progress with several tasks simultaneously and be aware of their importance
Strong ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion
Ensure that enquiries and tasks are dealt with quickly, efficiently and to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Organised, managed and excellent office administrative skills
Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and an effective team player
Excellent numeracy skills (basic rules, using codes on databases)
A pro-active and flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to changing situations in a considered and calm manner and to work well under pressure
A flexible approach to working, including occasional evenings and weekends as and when required, and able to work at any location across all Imperial campuses and Halls of Residence, as reasonably requested
