The Opportunity:
Join ACES Edinburgh as Student Ambassador and support us in achieving big results for under-represented and disadvantaged young people interested in studying art, design, or architecture at university. The events delivered by ACES range from Portfolio Preparation to one-off events and online talks. Our events are delivered online as well as in-person, and the successful student will be supporting both.
We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, and wish to particularly encourage applications from students who are evidentially underrepresented within our student body, including students

To ensure that our Student Ambassadors appropriately represent the University, we will be recruiting students to reflect the diversity of the student body and subject areas.
Your skills and attributes for success:
You are a current, full-time and matriculated student (including academic session 2025-26) within the School of Art, School of Design, or ESALA at Edinburgh College of Art
Work experience or internship in education or a customer facing position, with demonstrable ability to deal with people in a professional, helpful and welcoming manner.
An understanding of, and empathy for, the student groups targeted within Widening Participation programmes.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and time-management skills.
As most shifts will be available from September to January around Portfolio Prep, the successful applicants must be available to work Fridays 13:00-17:30 between 06/09/2025 to 24/01/2026.
