Student Animal Nursing Assistant (voluntary Post)
Job Description
We are looking for a student ANA to join our friendly team at our busy veterinary hospital in Belfast. We are a small animal only practice with a large number and variety of cases including first opinion, second opinion and referral.
Our new team member will require some experience in a veterinary practice . Ideally you will have some experience in all parts of practice life, as you will be involved in basic animal husbandry, cleaning, and assisting the nursing team.
You will be motivated and enthusiastic about the role, with a keen passion for animals, and in return we will offer an opportunity to increase your knowledge and skills through career progression.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinary staff in providing care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring health conditions. Maintain cleanliness and organization in animal care areas and laboratories. Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Engage in learning opportunities to enhance veterinary knowledge and skills.
This role would be ideal for someone studying Level 2 animal care at Greenmount or Limavady.
These courses require 18 hours of volunteering as part of the curriculem.
The rota is 18 hours, which can include 3 x 6 hour days or 2 x 9 hour days and will include 1 in 4 weekends.
