Job Description

Reporting to: Accounts Lead

Location: London - with occasional travel to other campuses as defined by business needs

Hours: Full time 40 hours (1.0 FTE)

Purpose:



The Student Finance Officer plays a key role in supporting students throughout their financial

journey at the institution. This position is responsible for supporting student finance application,

submitting coc forms, DSA applications etc to SFE, administering tuition fee billing, managing

student records in internal ERP system, advising on funding options (e.g., government loans,

grants, bursaries), income reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and

institutional policies. The officer works closely with internal departments and external bodies such

as the Student Loans Company (SLC), Student Finance England (SFE), sponsors, and scholarship

providers.

Responsibilities:



Contribute to and support the role of the Student Finance to deliver quality administrative
services and excellent customer care

Undertake all of the operational activities of all matters relating to student finance. Have responsibility for monitoring and updating the student finance records Contribute to the effective provision of an efficient customer-orientated counter service
in all matters relating to fees, student loans, and other financial support inquiries

Provide confidential, sympathetic, and helpful financial guidance to students as
appropriate, together with the initial processing of applications, paperwork, etc.

Keep up to date with changes in student finance and financial support rules and
regulations for Higher Education Institutions.

Accurate maintenance of students' financial records on the College's Student Record
System, including data entry for statistical and auditory returns, taking into account the

need for accuracy and confidentiality.

Correspond with students, and staff regarding student-related financial matters
appropriately and efficiently

Take responsibility under the direction of the Finance Director and liaison with colleagues
across the college for the efficient and accurate monitoring and recording of students' fee

records

Provide the first point of call for assistance to colleagues and students who have queries
regarding their fees and ensure that regular updates are provided to the team on

individual student records.
