About the role

We're looking for a collaborative and highly organised Student Recruitment Events and Projects Officer who thrives working across multiple projects with a broad range of stakeholders. The role will be key to planning, coordinating and supporting a range of specific projects, events and initiatives that attract prospective students and support the conversion of offer holders to study at Imperial College London.



You'll be part of a supportive agile team responsible for attracting the brightest science, technology, engineering, mathematics and business (STEMB) students from the UK and internationally, to a London-based university that's currently ranked second globally by QS.



You will play a key role in enabling Imperial to meet our student recruitment goals both in the UK and internationally through organising event logistics, delivering recruitment activities, creating project plans, and liaising with suppliers.



The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to work independently across a diverse workload with different project leads, and comfortable representing Imperial in a variety of contexts.


What you would be doing

Reporting to the Student Recruitment Events Manager, you'll contribute to the core activities of the Events team, such as Open Days and visit days, and lead on specific projects and events, including on-campus Offer Holder Days and Virtual Open Day webinars. You'll work with project leads across the UK and International Recruitment teams to coordinate and support the delivery of growth initiatives that contribute to our strategic objectives, including Global Hackathons and Imperial on Tour events. You'll represent Imperial at a range of student recruitment activities, from delivering presentations to hosting group visits.

Event coordination experience, both online and in person Experience of working across multiple projects or events simultaneously Experience of providing excellent customer service and working in a customer focused environment Able to work with colleagues and contacts of all levels to build and sustain successful working relationships Confident with project planning, progress tracking, evaluation and relevant digital tools to support these Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with a meticulous attention to detail Able to prioritise and manage a diverse workload independently, producing high quality work to tight deadlines Willingness to represent Imperial in a variety of situations and events, including travel and working outside of normal hours when required

Appointments are typically made at the first spine point of the job grade's salary scale.
