Part Time - Permanent (13 hrs per week, 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Tuesday (39 weeks per annum - TTO plus teacher training days)

Student Services Administrator

About the Role:



As a Student Services Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for students on a day-to-day basis, e.g. printing timetables, phone calls home, first aid, etc. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth running of student services.

Key Responsibilities:



Front-line Support:

Act as a welcoming and efficient first point of contact for students.

Communication:

Handle incoming and outgoing communications (emails, phone calls) related to student services, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.

First Aid & Welfare:

Act as the first point of contact to administer first aid to staff and students (training will be provided if necessary), liaising with parents/carers as required.

Record Keeping:

Maintain confidential and accurate student files, ensuring all data is managed in line with GDPR and school policies.

Liaison:

Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, emergency services (during a medical emergency), and parents to ensure seamless support for students.

General Administration:

Undertake general administrative duties to support the smooth operation of student services.

We are looking for candidates who:



Have proven administrative experience, ideally within a school or similar fast-paced environment.

Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with children, with a friendly and empathetic approach.

Possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Are proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and school management information systems (MIS) like SIMS (desirable but not essential, training provided).

Are able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude.

Are reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Have a genuine interest in the welfare and development of young people.
