We are seeking a dynamic and organised Pre-16 Support Officer to join our thriving Further Education college. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people and adults in our community.
About the role:
As a Support Officer will act as an advocate for pre-16 learners, ensuring their needs are understood and met. They will contribute to a positive learner experience for pre-16 students by providing effective collaboration and support.
Your role will involve:
Ensure pre-16 student experience is integral to College life and embedded into operational practice.
Serve as the pre-16 daily point of contact for partner schools, parents/carers and external stakeholders.
Collect pre-16 attendance and report daily to schools and parents/carers
Leading on safeguarding intervention within Pre-16 and attend case supervision meetings.
Coordinate student engagement and feedback activities and proactively use feedback to improve student experience.
Coordinate and supervise student break and lunch time activities.
To fulfil the role of Pre-16 Support Officer you will have:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
English and Maths Level 2
Strong organisational ability
A passion for education
Excellent knowledge of current personal, social, behaviour, safeguarding and welfare issues for children and adults
Genuine interest in helping others
Experience in FE sector a distinct advantage, but not essential
