We have an exciting opportunity for a Non Medical Prescriber to join our Mental Health Team at HMP Dovegate, a category B Prison located in

Uttoxeter

in Staffordshire.



HMP Dovegate is a private prison with a capacity of 1060 males

As a non-medical prescriber you will be part of a small team of 4 based within the healthcare department, however you were mainly be wing based and other clinical areas within the prison.

We require someone who is a non-medical prescriber and ideally has previous experience within substance misuse.

Hours




Full time 37.5 hours a week. Monday to Friday - 8am - 4pm Alternate Saturday's - 8am - 4pm

Salary





You'll receive an annual salary between

51,643 - 58,012

per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing





As a Non Medical Prescriber your responsibilities will vary. You will


Undertakes Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients. Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence. Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within their sphere of competence. Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after. Provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history.
Carry out a clinical review with the patient and update care plans accordingly.

Requirements:




NMC Registered Adult Nurse / Mental Health Non-medical prescribing qualification - Essential Experience of working in substance misuse Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery of primary care
services including , Clinical Governance, Quality & Outcomes Framework
Understanding of evidence based practice Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
