HMP Risley works with foreign nationals and a resettlement male prison that has a population of 1030. we are looking for someone who has experience within substance misuse. The site has

Hours:The role is:

• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday - Friday
• 7.30am - 8.45pm (can we flexible with timings)
• Some weekends when required

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to xc2xa333232 - xc2xa340211 per annum FTE - depending on experience.How will we support you?Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training courseCompetency frameworkRegional and national career development opportunitiesOur bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needsSupport from the wider teamCandidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.Main duties of the jobAs a Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
• Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model
• Be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
• Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information
• Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions. You will occasionally be required to support dispensing
• Have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person centred approach.

• Registered nurse with current NMC registration - Adult
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
• RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake.
• Experience of working with opiate dependant patients.
• Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
