Your Role

EF Torquay Summer School is seeking an organised and proactive Academic Coordinator to join our team for summer 2026.

Position Details:

Full-time


5 days a week


Fixed-term contract between June - August 2026


Accommodation available is necessary

Responsibilities

Oversee class scheduling and student timetabling


Assist with placement testing and student intake processes


Monitor student attendance and ensure policy compliance


Support teachers with academic administration and classroom resources


Coordinate weekly academic reports and ensure students receive certificates


Assist students with academic queries and exam bookings


Maintain accurate academic records and data management


Cover classes for absent teachers


Work closely with the Academic Manager and other departments to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

Available between June-August 2026


TEFL or CELTA (preferred) qualified


Excellent communication skills


Sensitive to the needs of international students


Confident in teaching young learners (13-17)


Demonstrates a high level of customer service


Has strong administrative and organisational skills


Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internal databases


All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references


Right to work in the UK at commencement of employment


C2 level of English
