Job Summary


We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Instructor to run an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Instructor , you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, supervising campers, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork. The activities will mainly comprise of learning, creating and playing with engineering models through a selection of lessons, with active activities/games in between.

Responsibilities



Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities. Plan, organise, and lead camp activities mostly from pre-set engineering (fun) lessons, with sports and games in between Foster positive relationships with campers by providing support and encouragement. Communicate effectively with campers and parents Assist in the development of camper skills through instruction and guidance. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the camp area. Participate in training sessions as required. Handle any conflicts or issues that arise among campers; in a constructive manner.

Qualifications



Previous experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is required. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young people. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A passion for outdoor activities and youth development. First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage but not essential; training may be provided.

Note - This will be the first camps that Young Engineers Manchester South put on. There will be training provided for running the engineering lessons and the equipment will be provided in advance for any preparations you require. You will work with the owner to plan the camp in advance, but during the actual operation of the camp you will largely be working with another new camp instructor to run the camp.

Furthermore, the dates for the camps have not been set - they will take place during the summer holidays, but the exact dates are flexible and can take your availability into consideration!

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3-5 days

Pay: 128.00-140.00 per day

Expected hours: 24 per week

Schedule:

No weekends
Work Location: In person
