SUMMER HOLIDAY CLUB VACANCIES (23rd July 2025 to 29th August 2025)
Are you ready to make this summer the most exciting ones yet for children aged 5 to 12 years old? We are seeking to recruit a team of staff to lead and assist at our holiday club programme this summer with specialists in sport, arts and craft and SEND. If you are passionate about engaging young minds in fun and creative physical activities then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Your role will help to support the delivery of high-quality sessions designed to foster the all-round development of children. These sessions aim to be engaging, educational, and enjoyable, promoting physical, emotional, and social growth. You will collaborate with team members to ensure that the care provisions not only meet but exceed the high standards and aspirations set by the Charity.
The key responsibilities are:
i) Session Planning, Facilitation and Oversight: Lead or assist in facilitating various activities, ensuring they are conducted safely and effectively. Oversee the children's participation, making sure that all activities align with the Charity's policies and procedures to create a secure and enriching environment.
ii) Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, children, and parents. Occasionally serve as the first point of contact for parents, addressing their inquiries accurately and promptly or directing them to the appropriate channels.
iii) Activity Planning and Preparation: Lead or assist in planning and preparing activities, ensuring they are well-organised and meet the developmental needs of the children. Manage the setup and clean up of the facility, ensuring a smooth transition between sessions.
iv) Resource Maintenance: Assist in the care and maintenance of equipment and resources. Report any faults or issues immediately to ensure that all resources remain in good condition and safe for use.
v) Snack and Meal Management: Help in serving packed lunches, ensuring that children receive meals. Oversee the clearing away of food items, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
vi) First Aid and Incident Reporting: Provide basic first aid (if applicable)/when necessary and ensure that any incidents are documented according to the Charity's policies and procedures, ensuring the well-being of all children.
vii) Communication of Concerns: Report any concerns regarding children's behaviour or well-being to the Head/Senior Coach promptly. Ensure that all relevant information is communicated clearly to maintain a supportive environment.
viii) End-of-Day Procedures: Ensure children are safely handed over to their parents or carers at the end of the day, following the Charity's established procedures to guarantee their safety. After using the space and equipment, ensure to clean and tidy up the area, putting away any equipment and supplies in their designated places.
ix) Policy Adherence: Act responsively and in accordance with the Charity's policies, maintaining a positive and proactive approach to service delivery.
x) Professional Development: Continuously maintain professional competence by undertaking required training and staying updated with best practices in childcare and education.
xi) Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all matters related to the children, staff, and the Charity always.
xii) Safeguarding: Adhere to and rigorously follow safeguarding procedures to protect the well-being of all children under the Charity's care.
We are looking to recruit Lead Coaches in Sport; Football and Arts and Crafts and Assistant Coaches in Arts and Crafts and Sports.
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Pay: 7.55-12.61 per hour
