Summer Kennel And Cattery Assistant
Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, reliable, individual to join our team here at Amberlea Country Kennels and Cattery for the Summer of 2025.
Duties will include cleaning dog and cat pens to a high standard, walking and interacting with dogs, playing and interacting with cats, monitoring behaviour and health of all animals, giving out feeds, and general maintenance of the property as needed.
Experience of working with and being around dogs and cats is essential and you must be able to confidently read body language and handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. You must be passionate about working with animals, and be able to work in a safe manner both as part of a team and as an individual.
Your own reliable transport is essential due to our location. Unless you happen to be in one of the local villages.
Pay is minimum wage for your age.
Hours vary from 20 to 40 per week and the usual working day runs from 8:30am to 4:30pm. This is not a Monday to Friday job, and weekend work will be the norm.
This is a physically demanding job in all weathers, so you must have a good level of fitness, and be able to be on the go all day.
