The Summer Restaurant Duty Manager is responsible for front of house, hospitality, events and management of The Woodland Bistro at Celtic Harmony Camp.
40 hours a week 5 weekends on 1 off.
The role will be to ensure that The Woodland Bistro operates smoothly at weekends, providing a warm and professional welcome to visitors and will play a pivotal role in organizing and executing workshops, overnight stays and other events, under the supervision of the Managing Director. It encompasses a variety of responsibilities, serving as the first point of contact for our guests. You will be instrumental in coordinating catering arrangements and marketing events around The Woodland Bistro. The ideal candidate will possess a commitment to delivering exceptional service in all aspects of hospitality and event management.
Duties
Bistro Management
Oversee and manage all aspects of food and beverage operations for events, guided by the Managing Director and in collaboration with the Chef.
Coordinate roundhouse and Bistro set up and breakdown according to event requirements
Attend weekly event meetings.
Collaborate with the facilities and education teams as needed
Manage catering inventory and order supplies as needed.
Coordinate till payments and maintain records of costs for all food and beverage orders, with support from the MD/Chef.
Supervise external event support staff and ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
Coordinate weekend workshops and assist with coordination of special events such as storytelling evenings.
Any other duties as reasonably required
Event Coordination
Assist in developing existing events and weekend workshops and creatin new experiences
Liaising with performers / craft people.
Logistics of event organisation: planning, resources, programme
Ensure all on-site facilities are clean and tidy for visitors (overnight roundhouses, toilets, washrooms)
Budgeting
Assist in delivery of events (meet & greet, activities, catering)
Promotion of Events (Online and offline)
To effectively use social media platforms and proactively promote events and share stories, supervised by the Marketing Coordinator
Assist with online and offline marketing on visitor platforms and magazines.
Assist with collating stats to measure marketing performance
Assist with telemarketing campaigns
Skills
Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members.
Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proven organisational skills to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within hotels or restaurants, is highly desirable.
Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance client offerings and increase revenue opportunities.
A background in guest services to ensure a high level of satisfaction for all attendees.
