Duties

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure optimal performance. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Develop new menu items and specials, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, making adjustments as necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant industry. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on fostering a positive team environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
