As a Supervising Senior in our Business Advisory team, you'll take ownership of preparing accounts, tax returns, VAT submissions, and delivering insightful financial information to a wide range of clients. This is a hands-on role that offers real variety, autonomy, and the chance to mentor junior team members while continuing to grow your own expertise.

What you'll be doing day to day

Plan, prepare, and complete complex year-end and management accounts for diverse clients, highlighting technical issues and recommending solutions Prepare and review complex personal and corporate tax computations, VAT returns, and forecasts Review accounts and tax returns prepared by team members Overseeing client bookkeeping services and preparation of forecasts and projections Analyse financial data to guide decision-making and identify financial, commercial, and tax planning opportunities for clients Use accounting software and tools (Excel, Word, cloud platforms) to manage financial transactions Supervise, support and train junior team members and students Support Managers with ad hoc queries and act as their key point of contact Build and maintain strong client relationships; liaise across departments to achieve effective outcomes Contribute to internal networking and support external business development initiatives

About you

AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified (or equivalent), or part-qualified with relevant experience Previous accounting experience in a public practice environment Experience in using accounting software and computer-based accounts and tax compilation programmes; plus, advanced MS Excel, Word and Outlook skills Ability to work independently and take responsibility for managing your own and other team member workloads Ability to be calm and efficient under pressure, and respond to client enquires promptly, accurately and efficiently Ability to develop effective, collaborative relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients Confident, professional and team orientated Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
