Supervising Social Worker required to join our team in the Blackburn / Accrington area of Lancashire.

The ideal Supervising Social Worker will possess strong relationship management skills, enabling them to effectively engage with clients and their families.

Successful candidates will also play a key role in supervising programmes and managing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of services.

Duties

Proactively recruit and thoroughly assess potential foster carers within the Bury area. Provide counselling and support to individuals and families, helping them navigate through difficult situations. Facilitate access to community resources, including healthcare, housing, and financial assistance. Manage case files and maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress. Supervise programme activities, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and policies. Collaborate with other professionals, including healthcare providers, educators, and community organisations, to coordinate services for clients. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in social work practices.

Experience

A degree in Social Work or a related field is essential. Proven experience in Fostering Services or Child Protection Strong administrative skills with experience in managing case files and documentation effectively. Experience in supervising teams or programmes is advantageous. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. A commitment to ongoing professional development within the field of social work is highly valued.
