We are looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated social worker to be based in the Bradford and West Yorkshire area; if you have 2 years post qualifying experience, we would love to hear from you.

Impact Foster Care is a new independent fostering agency based in the Bradford area. We offer a competitive salary of up to 42,500 dependent on your experience; 28 days a year holiday (plus stats), plus a day for your birthday and a company pension scheme.

As a Supervising Social Worker with Impact Foster Care your caseload will remain manageable which will allow you to play a key role in ensuring our foster carers have the high level of support, guidance and training they need in order to provide safe and loving homes to children and young people in care. You will be an integral part of the team at the early, developmental stages of building the agency; the ability to work autonomously is essential.

Key responsibilities:



- Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in our care.

- Support and monitor the continued suitability and competence of Foster carers ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, nurturing and learning environment for our children and young people

- Work effectively with placing authorities and other professional services to ensure a child's care plan is followed through.

- Undertake initial home visits and Form F Assessments.

- Fully participate in the matching process for potential placements.

- Ensure that carers fully understand the fostering task, competencies to be achieved and the standards expected

- Provide support in collating evidence with your foster parents in order to complete the Training Standards Development portfolio including running workshops.

- Provide and record regular reflective supervision to allocated foster carers in line with Impact Foster Cares policies and procedures.

- Work in partnership to help identify any needs within the foster family e.g. respite, activities, therapy, holidays, with all members of the child's network, including contributing to all relevant meetings and any other tasks defined.

- Ensure each child and foster parent are fully compliant in respect of all key documentation.

- Attend meetings and provide necessary reports and documentation.

- Ensure the compliance of the agencies information management system, taking responsibility for the records of foster carers, children and young people within your caseload.

- Provide high quality written documentation, forms and reports about children placed and foster parents.

- Promote participation of children/young people in the development of the agency and in accessing resources and opportunities in their local community.

- Participate in the out of hours on-call system as required to provide support to foster carers and children during evenings and weekends

- Adhere to all agency Policies and Procedures.

- Ensure the safeguarding of children and young people is paramount in your everyday practice reporting any concerns efficiently to your line manager or a senior manager and recording appropriately.
